12. Dweezil Zappa

Our first episode of 2024 has the one and only Dweezil Zappa joining Jackson on Guess That Record! The son of legendary musician Frank Zappa, Dweezil followed in his footsteps to become a master guitarist and composer in his own right, releasing six studio albums over the course of his career. He’s also carried on the legacy of his father’s music by fronting the successful group Zappa Plays Zappa. In this episode, Jackson and Dweezil talk about how he learned guitar under the tutelage of Eddie Van Halen, Frank Zappa’s greatest hits, and how he managed to earn a part in an Arnold Schwarzenegger film.

In this interview, Jackson and Pete talk about how he started recording his own music, how he saved the famous Power Station studio, and his new album “One Last Dance.”
