The biggest episode of Guess That Record to date has Jackson interviewing legendary guitarist Andy Summers from The Police! As the band’s guitar player, Andy can be heard on all of their incredible songs including Every Breath You Take, Roxanne, and Message in a Bottle. Outside of The Police, Andy has released 13 solo albums, composed film soundtracks, and has collaborated with artists like Robert Fripp, Eric Burdon, and many more. Andy has won five Grammy Awards, and in 2003 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Police. In this episode, Jackson and Andy break down select tracks from The Police’s discography, and talk about Andy’s current projects.

Guess That Record is a podcast hosted by Canadian musician Jackson Reed. Each week Jackson will sit down with a special guest for an in-depth interview about their career and experiences. Pete was in charge of A&R at Atlantic Record for 16 years, and has worked with artists like Santana, Twenty One Pilots, Run DMC, Donna Summer, and Chaka Khan. He now runs his own company called Pure Tone Music, and is the host of the Rock & Roll High School Podcast where he interviews legendary figures in contemporary music. In the episode, Jackson and Pete talk about how he ended up in A&R, what it’s like to work for a historic label like Atlantic, and the creation of his podcast.
