Midge Ure

Midge Ure is a Scottish musician and philanthropist. Having been active since the 1970s, Midge was the frontman for the band Ultravox. The pioneering synthpop band achieved a string of UK hits in the 1980s like “Vienna,” and “Dancing With Tears in My Eyes.” Midge is perhaps best known for his work with Bob Geldof. Midge produced and co-wrote “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” with Geldof, and helped organize the Live Aid and Live 8 concerts.
