Midge Ure

Midge Ure is a Scottish musician and philanthropist. Having been active since the 1970s, Midge is best known for fronting the band Ultravox. The pioneering synthpop band achieved a string of UK hits in the 1980s like “Vienna,” and “Dancing With Tears in My Eyes.” Midge is best known for his work with Bob Geldof. Midge produced and co-wrote “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” with Geldof, and helped organize the Live Aid and Live 8 concerts.
